Tim Hillegonds

Tim is a writer, marketer, and content strategist who spent a decade in the corporate world before catching the entrepreneurial bug and founding Thrive. He’s held various senior-management positions across a number of industries. Tim spent two years working with start-ups in both the medical and financial technology spaces, helping them tell their stories, raise funding, and find the right way to position themselves in the market. He focuses his time at Thrive on strategy, process development, marketing, and business development. Tim holds an undergraduate degree in entrepreneurial business development and a master’s degree in writing and publishing from DePaul University in Chicago. He’s written for mass-market publications, literary magazines, and the web.

Mike graduated with a communications degree from Shepherd University (WV) in 1997. For a decade after college, he taught high school history and creative writing, while balancing a free-lance writing and content-development career on the side. In 2008, he landed in Chicago as a full-service copywriter, specializing in feature content, editing, and promotional writing. As the industry evolved, Mike made his mark within the full spectrum of the writing services and branding industry. He leads the copy and creative teams at Thrive, and serves as owner/editor for a monthly newspaper in Shepherdstown, WV.
